FJK Dance’s Annual Fundraiser — “From the Community to the Stage”

An Evening of Dance, Visual Art & Community

Donation tickets

FJK Dance invites you to an unforgettable evening celebrating art, healing, and human connection. Our Annual Fundraiser brings together dance, visual art, and community engagement to honor the powerful partnership between FJK Dance, Kings County Hospital, and the New York State Office of Mental Health. Through the generous support of our donors and sponsors, this collaboration continues to make a profound impact—fighting stigma, promoting wellness, and using the arts as a catalyst for healing and inclusion.

This year’s event also marks the launch of our 2026 Community Outreach Program, From the Community to the Stage, a creative initiative inspired by the voices and experiences of those we serve. Through workshops, performances, and participatory art-making, this program transforms stories of resilience into works of movement and meaning—reminding us that creativity is both personal and collective.

The evening will feature an exclusive presentation by Artistic Director Fadi Joseph Khoury, introducing his newest interactive solo project, a bold evolution of his artistic vision. Rooted in Middle Eastern dance and visual art, the work celebrates cultural identity and unity, inviting audiences to experience movement as a shared language of healing. Blending traditional and contemporary forms, Fadi’s solo embodies a full-circle journey—from the community to the stage, and back to the community—illustrating how performance can inspire dialogue, empathy, and transformation.

As a queer Arab American artist, Fadi’s work stands as an act of cultural reclamation and celebration—an affirmation of authenticity and peace in a polarized world. His creative process, enriched by community collaboration, challenges boundaries and brings people together through rhythm, color, and human connection.

Join us for an inspiring night of live performance, visual art, and stories of impact. Together, we celebrate what art makes possible: healing, understanding, and unity across all differences.

Your presence and support ensure this vital work continues—helping FJK Dance carry forward its mission to create from the heart of the community and share that spirit on stages everywhere.

FJK Dance is proud to recieve grant support from the NYS Office of Mental Health for the year 2025.

“This project is funded by the New York tax check-off program for Mental Health Stigma Reduction and the New York State Office of Mental Health.”

Help us continue this journey. From the community to the stage—let’s keep dancing toward connection and hope.
