Fadi J Khoury Dance performs excerpts of Dum Tak and Echoes.

Dum Tak and Echoes represent the signature work of FJK Dance featuring the unique fusion of culture and dance through choreography, music and visual art. Both pieces where first presented at a residency in Hunter College and then performed in a 31 city tour in China / Poly Theaters, battery dance festival, New York Live arts and Danny Kaye playhouse. Dum Tak was performed at the UN in New York in 2017

Dum Tak is Performed in point shoes, Latin heels and barefoot in a fusion of ballet movement and Latin ballroom partnering. Music is based on tabla playing Latin rhythms by Matias Hazroum and Samer Ali

Echoes is Inspired by “Dabke,” a folkloric traditional Bedouin dance from the mountains of Lebanon and Syria. Middle Eastern drums and percussion instruments with electric based sounds and rhythms are featured through original composition by Shamou Mou
