FJK Dance presents UnTold at the New York Hudson River Museum.
UnTold aims to shed light on the hidden beauty of Middle Eastern culture at a time when stereotypes govern our perceptions.
Visual art and contemporary dance intersect in a multimedia performance installation, directed by Fadi J. Khoury in collaboration with award-winning music producer/composer Hossam Ramzy and projection/light designer Calvin Anderson. Performed by the FJK Dance company, this new type of fusion dance layers classical and contemporary styles of ballroom and ballet movement with sculptures and graphic designs featuring ancient Middle Eastern aesthetics.
The Hudson River Museum, located in Trevor Park in Yonkers, New York, is the largest museum in Westchester County. The Yonkers Museum, founded in 1919 at City Hall, became the Hudson River Museum in 1948. While often seen as an art museum due to the extensive collection of works from the Hudson River school, the museum also features exhibits on the history, science and heritage of the region.
