 Intermission

Ayah (آية) (World Premiere)

This work reflects on the healing impact of the performing art experience, taking inspiration from ancient ceremonial practice where musical rhythm and heartbeat connect with the breath.

Music: Jan Paul Werge

Jan Paul Werge is a singer, composer, performance artist and mediator of music. Deeply inspired by the universality of music, he composes for contemporary dance and theater ensembles and has performed in Germany and abroad since age nine. He shares his broad and deep knowledge from over 30 years of professional experience on stage in selected workshops and retreats. As part of his research, he works in various collaborations at the interface between art and empathy. For this purpose, together with Johannes Härtl (Director of the renowned dance academy Iwanson), he has, for example, set up a laboratory in Munich, from which working tools result. Like the music we use by Jan Paul Werge.
